Indulge in the magic of ice skating in Canada’s first National Park. Banff’s ‘Local’ ice skating rink is located right here at the hotel. After ice skating head into the Waldhaus Pub and Restaurant to warm up over hot chocolate.

The best trial starts right at the hotel and it’s called Spray River Loop. Cross country skiing is a relatively easy sport to pick up and is a great way to spend a relaxing day in the forest. Ask our friendly staff about other great cross country ski trails in the Banff National Park.

Take the easy option and explore the beautiful forests and frozen lakes of Banff on snowshoes. The fresh air, sounds of snow crunching under-foot and perhaps a brief encounter with a deer or elk will remind you that you are in a world heritage park
